Hi everyone, I wanted to let you know why I have been absent for a while. I have had some family stuff that I have been dealing with. I am still dealing with this issue, so I will not be posting as regular as I was, but when the Lord leads me to post something I will make sure to get it posted.
I just wanted to come on today and talk to you about Psalm 91 and how I have been praying this chapter over myself each day.
Every day you should recite this over yourself in the morning to start your day. In this chapter where it says you, I make it personal and put me in the verse. Speak it out loud. Get in the habit of making this a daily prayer over your life so that you are ready to do battle with the enemy.
Psalm 91
1 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God in whom I trust.”
3 Surely He shall deliver me from the snare of the hunter
and from the deadly pestilence.
4 He shall cover me with His feathers,
and under His wings I shall find protection;
His faithfulness shall be my shield and wall.
5 I shall not be afraid of the terror by night,
nor of the arrow that flies by day;
6 nor of the pestilence that pursues in darkness,
nor of the destruction that strikes at noonday.
7 A thousand may fall at my side
and ten thousand at my right hand,
but it shall not come near me.
8 Only with my eyes shall I behold
and see the reward of the wicked.
9 Because I have made the Lord, who is my refuge,
even the Most High, my dwelling,
10 there shall be no evil befall me,
neither shall any plague come near my tent;
11 for He shall give His angels charge over me
to guard me in all my ways.
12 They shall bear me up in their hands,
least I strike my foot against a stone.
13 I shall tread upon the lion and adder;
the young lion and the serpent I trample underfoot.
14 Because I have set my love upon Him,
therefore He will deliver me;
He will set me on high, because I have known
His name.
15 I shall call upon Him, and He
will answer me;
He will be with me in trouble, and He will
deliver me and honor me.
16 With long life He will satisfy me
and show me His salvation.
